They are a lovely quality, with even finish, a textured bezel so that your artwork or perhaps a gemstone cabochon can be glued down securely. The back is also textured with a starburst effect that adds more interest to the piece. They are available in silver plated, antique bronze and vintage copper finishes, and now also in antique silver and black. All equally lovely!
